Subsidy
In many cases, the Dutch government or other authorities have programs that contribute to study expenses made for SAE Institute.
Belastingdienst
The ‘belastingdienst’ for instance, makes study-expenses tax deductable when the study you are doing is meant for upgrading your financial or economical status.
Expenses made to maintain the level of your knowledge or skills is also eligible for tax refunds.
When you meet the terms mentioned above, you can deduct: course fees, spendings on literature and in some circumstances travel expenses and the purchase of a computer. The minimum amount of expenses made must exceed € 500,00 (drempel).
We recommend to consult the belastingdienst website for further information and/or to discuss your possibilities with your tax advisor.
UVW Werkbedrijf
When you are unemployed and registered at UVW you can also apply for a compensation. Your application must meet the following terms:
- The study you want to do increases your chance to get a job,
- You are registered at UVW for more than one year,
- Your application is received and approved before you start the course.
Please note that compensation is not automatically granted. This is depending on your personal situation and will be assessed by UWV Werkbedrijf.

Foundations
There are a number of "Stichtingen" that support institutes in the educational, charity and medical industry. In some cases they will also support individuals.
Applications need to be submitted in writing mostly with at least the following details:
- a proper and complete (project) description
- a complete specification of the budgeting of costs and revenue and the contacted organizations that have been asked to sponsor.
