Digital Filmmaking
First Stage: Digital Filmmaking Course (Diploma)
The Digital Filmmaking Course offered at SAE Institute Rotterdam consists of two stages. The first stage covers all aspects of professional digital filmmaking by laying a fundament of broad theoretical knowledge and training of extensive practical skills. The student's progress and skills are assessed by theoretical and practical assignments throughout the course as well as exams at the end of the course, which are all designed closely to professional settings.
The student receives an international SAE Institute Diploma upon graduation. This enables the student to either start working as a film and/or animation professional in the film/TV, online-, games- industries, or continue to the second stage of the Digital Filmmaking Course, offered in association with Middlesex University, London UK.

Second Stage: Digital Filmmaking Course (BA Hons Digital Film Making)
Recognized internationally, a Bachelor of Arts Degree is one of the most important academic qualifications. In coming years its importance will increase significantly in the digital film & animation industry. It is a requirement for further study to Masters or PhD level. SAE Institute Rotterdam offers the BA Hons Digital Film Making Degree (validated by Middlesex University, London UK). Honours (Hons) is awarded on the basis of an additional final research project.
