1st Year Digital Film Making
Digital Filmmaking has revolutionised the filmmaking industry. The power and availability of digital cameras and computer editing gives everyone the means to produce their own movie, music video or documentary. During the 1st year of the Digital Film Making course students learn the whole filmmaking process. Ranging from scripting and storyboarding, through all aspects of shooting, e.g. camera operation, framing, lighting, to editing, compositing and visual effects. Practical classes and hands-on practical time are supported by a theoretical understanding, giving students thorough knowledge of a broad range of production-related issues and career opportunities. Successful completion of the 1st year of the Digital Film Making course is awarded with the SAE Institute Digital Film Making Diploma and entitles students to continue to the 2nd year.

2nd Year Digital Film Making
The 2nd year of the Digital Film Making course professionalizes 1st year graduates’ approach and attitude to the industry by surveying the cultural, historical, and creative parameters that shaped the current industry landscape. 2nd year students will attend lectures and seminars held by active industry professionals to develop a critical and analytical awareness necessary to profess at higher levels. Successful completion of the 2nd year of the Digital Film Making course is awarded with a Middlesex University Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Digital Film Making.
