Welcome to SAE Institute Rotterdam

Since the establishment of the School of Audio Engineering in 1976 by Dr. Tom Misner, SAE Institute has grown to become the largest international network of colleges providing audio, digital film, multimedia, animation and game development training. SAE Institute established its first school in the Netherlands in 1991. We now provide professional training in all aspects of media technology, currently training some 400 students per year. Our graduates can be found in many professional production facilities throughout the Netherlands, Belgium and on an international level.

Based in the heart of Rotterdam’s up-and-coming creative sector and home to a variety of companies and artists working in AV, ﬁlm, and ICT, the 9000-m2 Schiecentrale complex is an ideal environment for our students. Resident companies include Neon, FunX, RA.NJ, Llink, RTV Rijnmond, ARA, and several independent AV companies.
